Polaris Defense unveiled its new MRZR-D4 turbodiesel ultra-light off-road vehicle, based on the widely used MRZR but with some improved features, during the annual CANSEC exposition.

Nick Francis, a Polaris Defense representative, said that the company incorporated “feedback we received from US and allied special forces on our gas MRZRs. We improved the sightline on the front of the vehicle around the roll cage, improved ergonomics for getting in and out of the vehicle, and added a slightly larger fuel tank that has improved the range. We managed this while retaining the critical features of the MRZR”.

The new engine is a diesel four-stroke single overhead camshaft with three cylinders and a displacement of 993 cc.
