The rumbles of many a motorcycle will echo around the York area this weekend. The Harley Davidson open house will take place Thursday through Saturday, and Bike Night will be held on Friday.

The free Harley open house will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each of those  days at the motorcycle factory at 1425 Eden Road in Springettsbury Township. Some 2017-model motorcycles will be available to test drive for anyone with a valid motorcycle license.

As always, there are a couple of motorcycles from Hollywood: This year, motorcycles from “Sons of Anarchy” and “Captain America” will be there.

The event features free self-guided factory tours, live music, food and merchandise vendors and motorcycle stunt shows, the release from the company states.

The Harley-Davidson sponsored Bike Night motorcycle parade in York City will ride off at 6 p.m. Friday from the York Expo Center’s West Market Street gate and meander through the downtown area east on Market Street to Broad Street, where the parade will turn north and then onto East Philadelphia Street and back to the downtown area, according to a release from York City.

The first blocks of north and south George and Beaver streets and Pershing Avenue will be closed from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, the release states. Market Street also  will be closed during that time from Pershing Avenue to Queen Street. Starting at 3 p.m., no cars can park on these closed streets, but motorcycles can, though any left after 10 p.m. in traffic lanes will be towed, according to the city.

The release suggests that people take Philadelphia, King or Princess streets when trying to go east and west through town and that people should park in the Philadelphia Street and King Street garages, as the Market Street garage will be closed.

Music, entertainment and food will be available along Market and George streets.
